I know some of you Cabriolet owners are very lucky and have absolutely no squeaks or rattles. I have taken my car to the dealer for a rattle fix and they did catch it, but now another small squeak has developed.For you owners that have owned cabs in the past for years, is it typically common to have a few more minor squeaks and rattles over the hard top.Just something we have to live with? Is there any type of lubrication that can be put around the seals that might help or is it all mechanical? Thanks in advance!

I had a 2004 and it had squeaks over rough bumps. My 2013 has no squeaks @7500 miles. I do live in an area where the roads are not high quality and expect it to start at some point. I try to keep the top down as much as possible!

I have a 2014 with 15,000 miles on it and I have yet to hear and squeaks or rattles.

My '14 Cab has 22,000 miles on it and it's been rattle free.

BMW gummifledge sorted all the convertible roof squeaks and noises in my outgoing M3 convertible. Give it a try

I had a 997 with a squeaky top, turns out one of the bows was not secure at one side or the other. My 991 top with it's superior design is quiet as a mouse. I did have a rattle in the wind stopper (top up only of course) and it was fixed by the dealer technician. A removal and then re-install with tightening did the trick, I believe. Good luck. And like it was said above, prefer to put the top down when ever I can.

No rattles from the roof. Two from other places though (rear window and something that sounded like the front-right dash speaker but turned out to be the suspension (!)), both fixed by dealer.

I'm on my 3rd Cabrio and all of had rattles. The 991 and 996 TT both have had them somewhere right behind the drivers left ear. I can't quite identify where, nor could the dealer. Not sure if it is where the seat belt retracts, or the top.

Zero rattles/squeaks.

991 cab and I hear some vibrations from the back right wind deflector when it is not up. Only makes noise when I go over high frequency, small bumps like a metal grate bridge. Otherwise no noise and not an issue.

No cab related noise, but rattle/buzz behind my left shoulder and occasionally far right dash. Drives me nuts. Dealer has been good with two prior cabs, I'm just holding off.

Any updates^ Top up on 15 GTS is squeeking like a chipmunk. Lubed the joints last year with white petro grease and it helped...for a while. Does warranty cover this ? TIA T
