Default GT3 vent grill kit

Rennline has a gt3 grill kit for a 997........anyone know if it'll fit our 991? Has anyone done it or is there another vender that makes one for the 991? It's for looks only.....did it on my 997 and was awesome.
TIA

Physically fitting is no problem at all, our vent kits come with clips and hardware that will work on almost any bumper, the only question is how it will look on the car.

We recently had a customer install one on a 996 which we have always said would not work due to the curvature of the front bumper, but he was dead-set on trying and personally I like the result! I think the 991 might work better because the curvature of the hood matches the vent better and is set up overall more like a 997. If anyone decides to give it a go shoot me an email Shawn@Rennline.com and I will set you up with some goodies in exchange for finished product pictures

Could you tell me which member this is so I can ask him more about his bumper? Can anyone tell why his bumper has the silver insert in the vent? Was it custom or an add on? Where would you get this?

Guess I am confused by the OP.... Are you looking for the mesh grills that protect the radiators, or the "fourth" grill opening along the top edge of the bumper cover? If the former, then STG provided the correct link to Rennlines' 991 mesh grill kits. If the latter, then what @Rennline posted makes sense and I don't think there is a 991-specific part or kit -- what others have done is simply source a GT3 bumper cover and all the bits necessary to install. Personally, I would go that route, as per @Rennline there is a good chance the outcome of installing is less than perfect.... And in the end may just simply be more cost effective to install a GT3 OEM part....

I know this post is a couple years old, but I really want to do this to my 986 S. The only guys product I will trust is the Rennline kit. If Rennline is still active here I want to buy this and would be happy to share the process and results.
