Default Targa 4S Arriving on/or around June 21 -

Good morning, all -

I ordered a Targa 4S in mid-April. Yesterday, I learned that it will be arriving in Davisville around June 11 (on the Zenith Leader), it will be at the dealer June 21. This is my 4th 911. I live in NE Ohio.

The configurator code if you are interested in seeing the build is:

http://www.porsche-code.com/PH9DVWK2.

The only other thing I was able to add that wasn't available on configurator, the rear facia paint is in exterior color.

Thank you for your comments and suggestions,

- Z

That is one hell of a build with an eye-popping price!
I assume this one is a "keep it forever" car?

$600 to paint the rear logo, never change Porsche...

I really can't wait to see how this one turns out with all that leather. Be sure to share pics when it arrives!

You ordered the car in mid April and it will be delivered in mid June? Was the car already spec'ed by the dealer? A two month order, build and delivered in the US is extremely rare.

I looked at you build order and it's a dealers dream order. You have ($70,000) in options. Maybe that is why it's getting built sooner.

FWIW, I ordered my Targa toward the end of April and it doesn't get built until middle of June and delivery in mid August.

Probably be a dealer allocation that hadn't locked yet. That's how I got my BS in just 2 months. The dealer "gave" me that allocation, we changed the configuration and it kept its place in the production schedule.

Talking Leather to sample

Does anyone know when LTS will be back. Is the allotment used up for this year and it will wait for 2018 model year to start. Thanks ahead for your help

Certainly a plausible explanation.

However, usually if the dealer allocation spec's are changed that delays the production by at least four weeks. You got lucky.

Yes, it was dealer allocation. I have been going there for over 8 years now, and I purchased few MB at his shop. For the record, I paid $2.5K above invoice (yes, he gives me his invoice); and threw the clear bra with it.

This is my 4th 911. I keep them until I see something I may like better, then I change.

I do it well, or I don't period :-)

Keep in mind the dealer still has his holdback (3%). They did OK: $5790.00 +$2500.00= $8,290.00. Also check if there are any dealer charges such as documentation fees, PDI yada, yada. With all that, you did OK on your purchase and the dealer will still be there to service your car.

Fabulous build. Eduardo will be proud.

You're going to have a lot of great contrast stitching with a two-tone interior and all the leather options. It'll be great. Can't wait for the pics.

Did you configure the car or did the dealer?

I do agree you do things well and price doesn't hold you back.

Hi Nick...Oh no, I spec'd it out. However, I went back and forth on a number of options; before I settled on the final build.

Price? what price... :-)
