I've tried searching, but no luck. Can anybody comment to this? It looks removable… is it? Anything behind it?

Thanks! That's interesting. It's both convenient and seemingly sloppy to have cables coming out from the middle of your center stack. Are there redundant ones in the glove box?

I believe they moved them to the center console where they really needed to be in the 1st place.

Behind that door is the slot to insert the car's SIM card and the SD card. Yes, the car has its own cell connection used to get data such as traffic updates / flow, Google satellite images and street view as well as to support the car's own WiFi hotspot. You get three months worth of data subscription included at delivery, then you have to buy your own.... If you change carriers you just insert your own new SIM card. The SD card is used to transfer music to the hard drive... If you are into that sort of thing...

The SIM card the dealer gives you is an AT&T service that you can sign up for. I'll be doing it on mine after I figure out all the new options on the PCM. I'm still getting used to the Apple Car Play.
