Default Short drivers - does this car work

Good Day All-

I hope you are well.

Just wanted to see if anyone smaller in stature can comment about the 991 and fun to drive factors. We are starting to look but my spouse is only 4' 11'' so worried that could be a factor. The dealer said not a problem and to come in for a test drive.

But I would really like to hear your thoughts if you have any to share.

Best regards, Tony

I would say yes this car works for short people.

I got my car a month ago. A couple of my neighbors were really interested so I left them take a test drive.

One of the people is a small Asian lady. I would guess she is about 4' 8" perhaps 5' . When I was adjusting the seat for her I asked it is was adjusted good enough. She said, "yes, good...good." There was more adjustment left for a shorter person.

Are you kidding when you said you let an ASIAN WOMAN drive your car? Do you hate your car?

My wife is 5'4 and has no problem driving a manual trans. If you select a car with PDK your spouse should not have a problem.

I'm 5'4 1/4 (at my height you need every bit you can get) and my wife is 5'1. We both drive manuals transmission cars. My 991 works very well for both of us with the 14 way seats. Her 997 has manual fore/aft and height adjustments. I like the 991 better because there is more height adjustment. Definitely get a car with 14 or 18 ways.

Thank you Porsche nuts.

We're asian, and my wife's 5' 1". The 911 is her daily driver with no issue. The one thing that I had to buy her is the sun visor extender in order to cover the early morning, and late afternoon sun. The seats, and steering wheel have great adjustments so no problem there.

So...you don't let people of different sex and race drive your car?

I taught both daughters to first drive my standard 996 when they were 16.
No problem size wise

My wife is 4'8" and I am 6'2" so the very first test we do in a car is see if she can drive it. 911 is not a problem. The seat fore and aft adjustment always gets a workout in our family. Ironically the one car that did not work for her was a Smart car.

^^^^^^ WOW! That would SUCK! You could have a passion for 911s and NEVER be able to have one. I'm 6'3 and it's a tight fit but that guy has to be 7'+!
