This thread is a good example of the civility and helpfulness of the great majority of Porsche owners.

Can I get an "atta-boy" for humor?

Not even my wife drives my car... I have one friend that drove it when I was recovering from surgery and we went for lunch.

So serious... There is a stereotype that largely holds true in my area about Asian women driving ability. Lighten up and don't take yourself so seriously

I'm 5' 7' and cannot depress the clutch pedal without stretching the left side of my torso in a very uncomfortable way. The problem is that Porsche has the clutch much farther to the right than some brands ( A salesman said this was to facilitate heel and toeing LOL!). No matter how close I move the seat my left leg has too long a reach to the centrally placed clutch. My friend's Miata is no problem at all. That clutch is almost directly in front of my left leg.

I did get PDK because of my wife. No biggie for me. I can get all my manual transmission fun on my motorcycles.

Default Short drivers - does this car work

Hate to point out the obvious, but Asia drivers aren't known for there fluency in the art of driving.
I purchased a 7 speed so the wife doesn't come close to driving our car. Anybody that volunteers his or her brand new car for the neighborhood to drive is either a hell of a sport or in need of friends.

Wow, what a mean spirited post. Here is a guy who wants to share his happiness with others and gets some crap responses from people.

Thought Porsche owners had more class and were more giving. Obviously does not hold true for all owners. For crying out loud, it's a car. Pretty unbelievable.

Thank you to those who offered some great thoughts on this situation with this thread. My wife is my best friend and whenever we look at a vehicle her thoughts and her driving experience come first. If she is cool with it then I see if I like it.

Germans are great at building precision products, Asians are great at electrically engineered devices, Americans are great innovators, African Americans are better at basketball and numerous athletic sports.
Does that make me a racist for pointing out the obvious. I don't believe so. I treat all people with respect and dignity. Certain stereo types do exist though. I'm man enough to accept it as well as dish it out. What's the problem with speaking the truth? Are we that sensitive today that all people should be grouped into a one model fits all perspective? I think you along with others are overstating it.
