Default Feeler: Trade 2015 C2 GTS 6MT for a PDK GTS

I bought a CPO'd 2015 C2 GTS earlier in the year with a Manual Transmission. I really like everything about the car, but want to go back to a PDK. I recently picked up a 981 Spyder with a MT and this is getting me to think about having one PDK and one MT.

Putting it out there if anyone has a 2015-16 GTS with a PDK and interested in a potential trade for one with a manual transmission.

My car is CPO'd and has about 2,000 miles on it. Build sheet attached.

Why would you sell it? This is a one of one car- the only manual GTS with a 6 speed transmission!

Great question.

I drove the 991.2 yesterday and it did not feel as dynamic as the GTS. I find the GTS a good compromise between the more raw feeling of the GT3 and a regular 911 (largely due to the sound).

I also find that the new Spyder is even more direct than the GTS and am considering a car that can work better as a DD and is better in stop and go traffic. Therefore, my theory is to look for a 991.1 GTS PDK!

I wish you had an Aqua Blue 991S manual and wanted to trade for my PDK one.

Having had the PDK for a couple years, I can tell you it's better in every way, but I would love to trade it for the manual.

Jim was facetiously pointing out your car has 7 speeds.

I would trade but I also have a 7 speed. So I guess it doesn't count as an offer.

Would you consider selling it outright?

I probably will look soon to sell it outright, since a trade for another GTS is not the easiest situation. Any interest?

Hmmmm...

I ordered mine and received it almost exactly a year ago. You tempt me. I got PDK (first sportscar I've ever owned in 35 years without a manual). I love the PDK. But a part of me in the back of my head says, "but would you love it more with a manny tranny?"

But then I don't like sunroofs, and I really don't like the glass SR. And I went to such lengths to jazz up the inside of mine and I love that.

So I dunno. Mine MSRP'd 10k higher than yours, but I'm sure we could work that out. Also, you might put the kibosh on the black/red interior of mine right away and put me out of my quandary anyway!

I like your color combo! So much so, that my Boxster Spyder has the exact same combo! Not sure that I want two copies though...

I'm kinda glad... Keeps me from having to think about it!

Interesting to me, though, is the fact that, as much as I'm enjoying the PDK (and I shift it in manual 100% of the time), I realized during this exercise that if you had miraculously had pretty much my same build except manual, I'd have done the trade without thinking twice.

Great car with just right amount of options.

Good luck with the trade. If it doesn't work out, keep us posted about selling it.
