Porsche does not recommend a brake in oil change since they don't use brake in oil in their engines like BMW M cars. In my case I rather take the metal shavings out of the engine than leaving them for 10,000 miles. But that's my OCD because I am keeping my car. For the lease crowd "Don't be gentle it's a rental"

I always do an early oil change at the 1,000 mile mark. Not just my Porsches. Did this 3 times last fall, new Explorer, new Accord, and a new Atlima.

That's not the real reason why, Trucheli. What you say is true. But the real reason is that Porsche does not want to unnecessarily inflate the cost of ownership.

Just had the one year done on my 2015 C4S. There was a PCM update that took 25 min. to download to the car. For daily driver type driving, a bit more oomph from a stop light, that may be that its more sensitive to throttle input, shifting points seem just a touch higher, again that might have to do with throttle input, in Sport mode the PDK now shifts into 7th at 75 mph if I stay at a constant 75. Car seems smoother and livelier, again I mean when driving around the neighborhood. They also checked wheel alignment, maybe that's standard. Also got the official stamp in my maintenance log. $275. Two and a half hours.

Had my '15 C4S in last week for the 10k/ one year service (which included oil change). Total was $451 with the tax included. Not cheap.
I did get a sweet loaner car for the night, though

Burning Brakes
I have a simple maintenance plan since I track my car , about twice a month, and DD too. When my brake pads and tires need replace, about 5 track days,
I also change oil and brake fluid. I order all parts from Suncoast, Tire Rack, Padig Pads, and go to a top notch Porsche shop@ $105/hr.

Durametric works flawlessly. It can individually reset each of the three service reminders. That is the least important thing it does. The software is amazing valuable when you get any fault codes, want engine real time operating values including any sensor in real time or even turn on or off features to diagnose issues. Best money you will spend if you do any maintenance yourself. Its very cheap for what you get.
