Default At what point on the gas gauge do you actually fill up?

I have always wondered at which point other people fill their tanks routinely driving around home. I know modern tanks are lined so the amount and whether you are storing it doesn't really matter but I have read somewhere its bad for the injectors if the level drops too low. I usually wait to between a 1/4 and an 1/8 of full. Maybe a silly question.... or maybe a measure of your level of OCD

For me there are numerous factors and other than the slight potential for condensation none of them have anything to do with performance. In general it seems to be when I'm between ¼ and ½ tank unless we're doing a PCA club tour.

Right about 1/4 of a tank usually.

Reasonably soon after the light comes on. Never before that unless I'm doing a long drive and don't want to pay motorway prices later on.

Usually when the light comes on. The car is at its peak when there is about a quarter left in the tank and the weight is off!

True story.

Bought my 991 CPO from a dealer in Ohio. Shipped it to Stuttgart. Picked it up at the Customs House and the Range Remaining showed 35km (22miles). It was a 10 km (6 mile) drive home with a gas station right near the house.

I get off the Autobahn with 28 km (17 miles) Range Remaining and am sitting at the traffic light 100 meters from the gas station when the car conks out. I thought my brand new car had broken because there is still gas in it.

My friends helped me push it off the road to a side street. We walked and got some gas and she started right up.

If it get near 50km (390 miles) remaining, that's about my limit.

Note: The newer 981's and 991's compute range left from your recent usage, not average usage for the used tank.
Was on Track at Road America and got some arcane message flip up on the back straight, slowed figuring I had blown something up. Took to Canada Corner to decipher, it was telling me I had less than 50 miles range with at least 1 1/4 tank showing.
When I went into town for gas, the remaining mileage kept creeping upwards as the car went back to it's usual 28+ MPG.-Richard

If you want range anxiety drive an EV. Those suckers will leave you stressing all the time. When the light comes on in the 991 I feel like I can still drive to China.

1/2 to 3/4, on the weekend, basically proactive fueling, because fuel stops are a hassle anyway, and the new Shell station with the fresh gas is batsh*t crazy on weekdays and they built the bays too narrow.

1/2 to 1/3 usually. I seldom see the warning light come on in any of my cars.
