Default 991.2 vs 991.1 Exhaust Difference

Just had the opportunity to listen to both versions concurrently and consecutively.

In sport mode. Stationary. My face in in the pipes.

Both have adequate amplitude. In fact the DB level may actually go to the car with dual hairdryers. And while each have the requisite pops, crackles and burbles they are very different. Distinctly so. Porsche has added volume to overcome melody, and it almost works.

That is to say the 911 character is still there but the voice has changed.
NA gets my nod in this comparison.

Naturally this is JMHO.

I agree, but as you say, the .2 isn't a bad sound it's just not as melodic as the .1. More so a GTS with its power kit.

I think it is inside the car that the real difference shows/is heard....
