As long as you have a good set of extensions and universal joints you can do this on jackstands in about 2-4 hours depending on how handy you are.

Took me about 4 hours the first time, I bet I could do it in 2-3 hours 2nd time around.

Or go to Indy shop, lot cheaper for 4 year service.

Had my plugs changed last year with filters at 22K miles and 8 years. What a noticeable difference in performance. Do it.

@Porsche Jeff - Was that your first or second spark plug change? Dealer or Indy shop?

I would suggest that when you change out plugs that are almost 4 years old, change the coil packs also. There is no additional labor to do so, as they must be removed to change the plugs. They are not very expensive and you won't be driving on coils that are 7 years old in a few years. I routinely change my coils every two years and keep them as spares. I have given several away to friends who experienced coil failures at the track. Most had their coils in 5+ years when they failed.

this is very good advice especially if you are going to pay someone else to do it. I did my plugs recently @ 23K miles but 5.5 yrs from in-service date and they were obviously original, and more importantly harder than expected to loosen up.
Since it was barely a 1 hour job even without removing wheels, I will probably do this more frequently, especially given the fact that plugs themselves were under $50

Are you keeping the car or is it on the way out?
40K miles OR 4 years.

Lex, I see that at the 4 year or 40K mark, it just seems crazy to replace plugs at 15k miles to me! LOL
I don't know how 'worn' they'd be at this point.

So...my next question: would you guys do them now or wait until later on. I don't put that many miles on the car per year.

(air filters are going to get done by me sometime in the near future-BMC's will be installed)

Don't know how hard the plugs are to get to. Guess I will search that up!

Thanks again!
I changed mine at 4 years with only 7,500 miles. I didn't want to risk a plug seizing in the head.
