Yes, this is the most obvious reason...

How far is the dealership from the closest gas station? Don't forget, they have to drive there, get gas, and drive back to dealership.

I don't think that is customary in Europe...

I wish they didn't do this in the US - I just bought a $135k car, I can afford the $45 in gas. I'll never get those 3 miles back! If my GTS showed up with that many miles I would definitely dig deeper, at least for an answer which satisfies me. Mine had 7 on it and for me, that was too much. I did specifically tell my SA to make sure the mileage was kept low. Best case, its one of the first 991.2s and the factory needed to do more testing - but they really should flag a car as such.

I'm sure in the US you could tell the dealership, "hey, don't drive it to get gas" during the PDI process.

Demand a new car because of 42 miles?

Some of you are insane.

I don't understand what you are saying. The first time you saw the car was the mileage 11.2 km and the second time you saw it was it 77 km? If that is correct someone demonstrated you car. My opinion

So you're willing to pay the new car premium for a used car? One that most likely has been test driven and banged off the rev limiter? Probably wasn't even warmed up! The engine isn't broken in yet either!

Porsche will deny anything happened, of course. At the very least, I would demand an extended warranty.

On the PCM 2.0 the last ride has been made before the arrival to the Porsche Dealer...

Thanks for your help,

Some news after my first kilometers. This car is actually very effective especially at low revs. We hear the faint whistle of the turbo (like my electric bike 😁😁😁😁 ).

The car is more accurate, but loses much softer in tone. I have not yet tested high speed surely after the first thousand kilometers.

PCM has evolved. Applecarplay is very interesting even if few applications are available. waze is missing, for example. I have a problem with my iPod classic (mac format) that is not recognized very will. I can't not have access to all my library.

No artist or album menu.
