I would go with sports chrono, having the option to blip on the downshifts is great. I use it all the time.

How about heel-toe? You can blip yourself

Of course you can, it's just nice to have the option.

I've always wondered about this. Let's say you're downshifting from 4th, while you're in neutral with the clutch out, how does the computer know whether to blip to match 3rd or 2nd?

Everything I've read says that the 14 way are more comfortable than the 18 way. The 18 ways are said to do a better job of keeping you in place in really spirited driving. Really do like the 14 way seats on my '15 Targa 4S.

I sure like that Graphite Blue, a great choice on the targa.
It sounds like interior is two tone, if so, the darker color for carpet would be my pick. With Expresso/ Cognac the dark carpet was an option that I am quite pleased with.
The new Carrera motor sure seems like a sweet DD engine in my brief test drive. Seat of the pants feel of that torque was about the same as my 2015 targa S.
Winter wheels have worked very well for me with my last two AWD 911's. I would get them again.
Congrats.

I ordered the same color accept my interior is beige/black.

I debated the Bose since it is open top driving and has SE. May still delete it.

I have a May allocation with a delivery in August. What is your allocation and delivery?
My GTS is DD and a MT. Wouldn't have it any other way!

You are maybe over thinking it... The blip is as you release the clutch. If you release clutch in 3rd, blip is X... If you are instead in 2nd, when you release the the clutch the blip is Y. If you are in neutral with clutch out, no blip needed.

I've had both. The Adaptive Sport seats were more comfy to me. I don't like the more narrow aspect of the non-Adaptive Sport seats.

Our 400hp 991.1 Targa S 7MT has lots of power and is lots of fun. Judging by the falter torque curve on the 991.2, I think you'll be fine in the "heavy" Targa.

Oh, the weight difference? Forget about it. 991's are lighter than earlier generations. The Targa isn't the lightest, but the ability to open that roof in 22 seconds is a great trade on anything but a race course.

I passed on Sport Chrono and haven't missed it a bit, but YMMV with the 991.2 differences.

Sounds like you're getting a very fun car!

Curious as to what is the thinking behind deleting model designation? Personally, the designation provides an extra dimension to the rear of the car. Without it, the rear looks bare.

Also, have you considered leather visors. The standard ones are cheap looking and since they will show prominently when the top is down it may be worth the additional $575. Not sure if you can designate the color but red would be nice against the black dash.
