Price Advice: NEW 2015 GTS
Hi,
https://admin.porschedealer.com/repo...AB2A91FS124783
Here is the list of options:
714 Deletion of Alcantara
030 PASM Sport Suspension
250 PDK
423 20" S Carrera Wheels
581 Luggage Net in passenger footwell
583 Smoking package
638 ParkAssist (Front and Rear) with Reversing Camera
653 Electric Slide Tilt Sunroof in Glass
658 Power Steering Plus
AZ Leather Interior in Black
CGE Sport Chrono clock dial in Racing Yellow
CNG Rear fascia painted
CUF PCM Display Surround Painted
EER Interior Package Painted i.c.w. Leather Interior
EFA Pedals and footrest in Aluminum
P07 Adaptive Sport Seats Plus (18-way) with Memory Package
P3 Racing Yellow
P3G Premium Package Plus i.c.w. Adaptive Sport Seats Plus (18-way)
P3H Bose Audio Package
XAJ Side Skirts Painted
XFR Instrument dials in Racing Yellow
MSRP: 145,395
Got it down to 112,857 or ~22.37% off MSRP.
My wife and I love the Racing Yellow paint and interior accents.
I have 2 questions:
1. Did I do "OK" with the haggling?
2. What's with the 20" Carrera S Wheels instead of the standard GTS center lock ones? Could that car have really been ordered that way (build date in December 2014)? Is it difficult to upgrade to those?
Thanks in advance for everyone's help. Hopefully this is our last inquiry before we make a decision.
GTS991 has been super helpful so far and I've learned a ton from reading all of the threads.
Thanks,
Alex

Hi LexVan,
Good question! The warranty was punched in November of last year so we are losing roughly 10% of it.
Agreed that I prefer the redundancy of the 5 bolt wheels, but the looks of the GTS center cap ones.
We'll look into purchasing additional 2yr coverage for a total of 6yr/100K miles.
The car is new and it has never been registered. It has 96 miles on the clock.

Will be easier to use my electronic torque wrench without buying a center lock adapter.
My question is if those GTS wheels are "Standard" how could the car have been ordered with the 20" Carrera S wheels instead?
I'm not looking at a car with swapped out wheels, am I? Sorry if it's a daft question, I'm coming from BMWs and wifey and I want to make sure that we get the "right" first Porsche. The performance figures and NA motor have me salivating, as is the PDK. Let's not turn that into another auto vs. manual fight.
Both of us grew up in Eastern Europe and are more than proficient with manuals with over 20 years of those. Time for something different!
Help me out guys, I don't want to screw up here.
The car is in Suncoast (Sarasota,FL) and I'll take the 1250 miles drive up North, gladly! We live in CT.
Thanks all

Racing Yellow draws a lot of attention. Your days of flying under the radar are over.
Get them to CPO the car as part of the deal. It's easily worth $3,000. Maybe you can get it added for less than the other warranty you're considering. Porsche's warranty product is probably much better and more dealership network accepted.

Looks wise yes, else I'm down for the 5 bolt concept, all day long.

The 20" Carrera S wheels (5 bolt) were a no cost option on the GTS. Assuming it is on the build sheet there are no issues. Are the wheels silver or black?
Also any pics? Sounds like with the Carrera S wheels and alcantara delete someone created a non-GTS GTS... my opinion only of course.

They are not swapped wheels. They are clearly listed on the COA. And the window sticker once you see it, I'm sure of.

The car sounds awesome if you want Yellow! The S wheels are the lightest of all 991 Porsche 20" wheels. Good looking & relatively easy to clean. If they are painted black or gray even better imho! Great price and go for CPO, see if they will at least split it w you. GL
Ps, after looking at the build sheet I noticed you left off several other nice options. That car is loaded & very unique! Not many would order a multi function carbon fiber steering wheel but it is very pricey! The leather seat backs of the 18 ways are also very cool. Very nice car

Bemo.
That is a great build and a great price!
I recently purchased a new 16 GTS and I can tell you that I would have bought this car if it would have been a MT. If you want a PDK GTS, I wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger on this car at that price. (they have even already added the clear side markers to match the clear tail lights)
One question you need to ask them. Why does their add lists it as a GTS, but in two spots their add states all wheel drive. I am not sure why they haven't corrected the add and removed the references to all wheel drive. I am sure I am not the only one who has noticed it.
PS Like others have suggested, get them to CPO the car. Don't let them tell you they can't.
