Keeping in the spirit of dirty cars, I drove from Colorado to a meeting at a copper mine in southeast Utah today.

Here's a photo in the morning, after more than 100 miles of snowy, wet highways, and starting down the remote road to the mine (lower elevation, no snow).

And later after the meeting, leaving the mine area.

^^^ Cool, neat pictures. 911's are meant to be driven.

Great picture. I was just north and a bit inland from you exploring the Russian River area. The "Gold Getter" is available for the mere cost of a modestly optioned 911 ($125K) if anyone is interested:

Cazadero General Store:

Did some house hunting while we were roaming the backwoods, the agent was quite surprised to see us pull up in this car after traversing a fairly rutted and moist "driveway":

Same here. The 4S w winter tires is insanely capable on snow - I think a lot of people are missing out; it's quite a driving experience. Almost every time I'm up on the mountains I get positive comments from passer bys; and once a State Trooper stopped by to tell us how glad he is to see a 911 out in the elements

I don't really drive this car in these conditions for commuting or on weekdays or for boring A to B short trips in traffic, so after a ski trip like this it immediately gets washed inc undercarriage, no harm done. I put the car on the lift fairly often, looks great.

I absolutely agree. While I don’t have a 4S, snow tires on 2S platform is still highly capable and inspires confidence.
