Give us some insight performance wise GTS vs M2. A friend of mine recently bought a M2 and because of the weather, we've not been able to get together and compare notes.

Funny, I just picked up a car identical to your GTS, and moved from a BMW (E92 M3 though). Interested to hear your thoughts on the new one. Congrats!

The quick version - lots to like in the M2...substantial updates for the 2018 M2 LCI (life cycle impulse)
my GTS was an occasion car, low mileage, always clean while the M2 is more of an everyday any day driver
shorter than the 911
rear seats & trunk like the 911 (frunk)
better seats & adjustability
better exhaust note than the 991.2 I was looking at
special wide-body like the GTS, looks even better in person, low production model
DCT is great, quick shifts
happy to have entry & drive again, auto highbeams,
far superior audio & electronics, idrive is easy & intuitive -the audio was a big one for me
really wanted a glass sunroof, and glad that my whole roof is not painted black like Porsche does
more playful down low, easy daily, far less tire noise
lots of torque, sport and sport plus modes work well, excellent shifter and paddles
it is relatively inexpensive but still special, not a direct 911 replacement by any means but a great car in its own right
a sporty coupe while the 911 is a true sports car
I don't track but enjoy spirited drives with an open sunroof and good tunes playing, this car delivers at $70 - $100k less then a new GTS
Looking forward to seeing what Porsche does with the 992...

Sounds like a good move! Agree on the iDrive, even my 2011 BMW had a better interface than the 991.2.

That M2 is gorgeous. IMO the M2 is the best currently in BMW lineage. They have lost all the sportiness in all other models, but M2. And now rare and collectible 1M is the M2 predecessor.
Having said all this, I'd still keep the GTS, but nevertheless congrats on a beautiful M2!

It's a pretty quirky house (to say the least) that's worth checking out. Even though I've already seen it, if an out of town guest of mine wanted to see it, I'd go back with them. If I were you, I don't know that I'd go way out of my way to visit it; but, if I found myself in that area with a couple of hours that I needed to kill I'd check it out.
