I am jaded because we live in an area that necessitates owning a "city car". We have an older Corolla that is covered in door dings, scratches, and someone even did a hit and run in Whole Foods parking lot.
The minivan driver couldn't have known your bumper was already damaged (nor is it an excuse to park like that), so they would have parked up that close to ANY car. Scum.
I wouldn't over analyse it - I got rear ended in my GTS last week - waved good bye to it on the tow truck knowing it'll be back on deck in 4 weeks - at the end of the day they are just cars
