Went to the PCA swap meet in Carlisle PA this past weekend, from Virginia Beach. I drove the long way home and took lots of twisties in MD, WV, VA. I accidentally ended up in Shenandoah Mountains on Skyline drive. It was beautiful but foggy. I did 1,000 miles Over the weekend. Now, I need to celebrate with my 60k mile tune up.
Pics by the Allegheny River and the Kittanning Citizens Bridge in Kittanning, PA. Beautiful day after many with torrential rain. Unfortunately I arrived home with an engine coolant system fault on the dash. Anything I should look at before bringing it to my indie?
Just got back from a 2300 mile trip from DFW to Durango, Colorado to Taos NM, then on to Santa Fe NM. While In Colorado we drove the Million Dollar highway from Durango to Silverton, CO. We wanted to go all the way to Ouray CO but the highway north of Silverton was closed due to a landslide. While In Durango we also visited the Mesa Verde Ancestral Puebloan people cliff dwellings. Took the Durango narrow gauge railroad to Cascade Canyon and back, a 5 hour trip with some amazing sights. Did a river raft white water trip for 1/2 day and just enjoyed the shopping and restaurants in Durango. It was an exhausting trip overall but an outstanding vacation. Silverton CO Pueblo-era cliff dwellings Our raft trip Durango narrow gauge train trip.
Yes, I agree is definitely a worthwhile trip. My parents took me when I was younger and I did the same for my kids. The views you get from the train, you can’t get anywhere else!
