Wasn't trying to be snobby or trigger anyone. I call em as I see em.
Obviously beauty is in the eye of the beholder. That car may be the mona lisa to some people but I just see a random smattering of Fast and Furious paraphernalia. I'm sure it's fast!

Could have accepted it more if it was the redesigned 86. Just not my cup of tea anymore. If I was 20 years younger...
No one in their right minds would cross-shop a 991 and a supra. You can't get an 8 year old 991 for what you could get a brand new, spec'd up Supra. It's not a comparison, so I'm still struggling to understand its relevancy in this thread, besides raw unnecessary hate. Because it's apparently cool to talk **** about the Supra, but in the same breath opine about how ICE sports cars are going away. It's actually really, really stupid.
Call it a trigger if you want. I just call it how I see it.

Ummmm...I'll call it a trigger then. Have a great weekend!
Road trip from Austin TX to Barber Motorsports Park for the two day performance course. Awesome track and great instructors made for a wonderful learning experience.

See, you're taking it personally. That's not how triggers work, right? They're generally based on past experiences, you just happened to suffer the full blast of my irritation directed at you and others in this thread. This has been going on for quite some time now and I think I deserve a soapbox for a minute even though mods will probably come through here and nuke all my posts anyway.
Come on, you can't tell me you don't see endless piles of hate directed at the Supra- so much that it's poured over into this thread dedicated to driving pictures..... that doesn't seem off to you?
And yes, I'm ready for the weekend if you can't tell.

I guess I haven't seen all the Supra hate that you're talking about. At least not lately because I'm not just not seeing much on the Supra anymore. When it first came out, yes, for sure.
For me, it just doesn't float my boat. I've seen them in the wild. I've tried to like them, but it's just not for me. I say the same about the C8. I appreciate it, but it just doesn't float my boat like the C7's.
And when I said "this day and age and market" earlier, I was actually referring to the majority of buyers wanting SUV's. Not anything to do with ICE vehicles in general. That's a whole 'nother issue there. Sports cars are just a hard sell because it's a limited market.
I'm not a Porsche purist. My 991 is my first. Several years ago I had a Genesis Coupe that I really enjoyed! I'm open to all cars, but there will always be some that draw me in and others that just don't.

And I really do hope you have a good weekend! 😊
Just to clear things up- you actually weren't my target anyway- it was the guy that said "the Datsun hurts my eyes". An aggressive statement like that deserves an aggressive response.
You're cool and always have been on this board. You just happened to be in the line of fire.
I also hope you have a great weekend!
Now I need to make up for all this noise and go on a drive and take a good picture.

Too bad I didn’t know about your visit, I live five minutes from barbers! Fantastic half day drive with twisted elevation changes that I’d love to have taken you on!
Another 911.1 visiting its dealer - had the summer wheels mounted and took a Taycan for a nice long test drive. I'm afraid the car of the future is battery operated.
