Sports exhaust 2 vs 4

Ok so you don't want PSE, so your choices (at least in the US spec) are to get the standard rectangular shape single pipes or the optional dual tip sport pipes....the latter is what I did... I think they look far better than than the rectangular ones.
Edit: my comment refers to the base model... You may be looking at an S, which has dual tips standard...

4 tips looks traditional and something we are all used to.
The 2 tip is a new visual and something that isn't yet broadly accepted because... it's new.
But helps brand the car somewhat more obviously to the uninitiated as a 991.2.. if that matters.

New? Twin pipes spaced like that have been on cars for over 50 years. Can't think of a car it ever looked good on though.

I agree, I don't particularly like that exhaust layout. PSE was a must have option for me so I did not have much choice.
Maybe Porsche had difficulty getting the sound right and this was their solution. They had to know this was not the best look.

I like the quad tips but wouldn't for-go the sound in favor of the look. I also would be skeptical of the aftermarket in producing a good sounding exhaust for a turbo engine. Porsche, Ferrari and Maserati with all of there R&D invested are producing sounds that are just on the fringe of being acceptable to some.

That's a center exhaust. The .2 PSE is not a center exhaust. It's a VW split twin. Center exhausts like the GT3/4/Cayman look great in my opinion. As do twin tips at the edges. Splitting the difference with two like the .2 just looks off.

Something I agree with 100% with you on Arch! Looks like the R32. Sound not withstanding I'd go sans PSE as long as Sharkwerks is working on a remedy! Love their exhaust mods anyway, usually get some performance plus too!

What is the approximate cost of putting in a PSE after the fact? I am looking for a 991. If I can't find all the options I will forgo the PSE initially and add it later. Good idea?
