Sports exhaust 2 vs 4

I am definitely in the quad exhaust camp. I haven't owned a 911 but I am buying a 991.2 next year so I am not tainted by a predisposition of the "older" look of the exhaust.
Visually, the back of the exhaust doesn't know if it is a GT3 or a Carrera. And the sound...... I've listened to many 991.2S with PSE on a track and they sound far worse than my 981 with PSE turned off. Not worth the money for the low quality sound and the less appealing look (to me)
I am giving up PSE just so I can have the look of the quad exhaust. Four looks more powerful than 2. It also makes the car look lower and wider (IMO) which is more appealing to me.

Note that with the 4 pipes, you can buy an aftermarket "X-pipe" (or other aftermarket full exhaust systems that are sure to come) that removes the center cans, giving it a much better sound that approaches or exceeds the PSE sound.
With the PSE 2 pipes, you can't do this as it would be futile as at least one aftermarket exhaust mfgr (fabspeed) has said in this forum that the current center can section for the PSE equipped cars are pretty much straight through flow wise....thus giving you the only option of replacing headers and high flow cats to get more sound while retaining PSE functionality.
edit:
like these X pipes from fabspeed http://www.fabspeed.com/porsche-991-...bypass-x-pipe/
or these from sharkwerks : http://www.sharkwerks.com/products.php?pid=403. while these are for 991.1, surely they'll come out in time with an x pipe for 991.2. they already have one for the 991.1 turbo (http://www.sharkwerks.com/products.php?pid=422) which design wise appears similar to what woudl be required for 991.2 (because of the stock placement of the cats).
I have no affiliation with any company. Just passing along the info to help others.

Porsche not making it easy for customers here. I want the best exhaust but don't think I can go for the looks of the PSE on new CS4 purchase. I mean the back of that car is a work of art and to plop those two oversized pipes in the center is a shame. Have to say however when I first saw them I despised the look. Now warmed up a bit to them but still don't like the look.
Porsche better tread carefully because they are messing a bit with their secret sauce of NA engines and great sounding exhausts which are both hallmarks of the brand.
I think I'll go for the Sport Tailpipes in Black but still torn because I'm unsure of the difference in sound between standard and PSE, particularly while accelerating.

Amen to that!! a 991.1 with PSE and you'll want no more!
