PCCB Pros and Cons

I am putting together my next order so I am ready to place when my lease is up. I am contemplating the PCCB brakes and wanted to get some feedback. In my search most comments are from track situations but I will not track my car. It will be a frequent year round driver but I also have a truck. I am leaning toward them to eliminate the brake dust (which makes me nuts) and also the look. I want to here back from some people who have them to make sure I do not make a mistake as I am sure the dealer will be more than happy to sell the option.
Thanks in advance,
Eric

Hey Eric. If it were me, I would do it. Currently don't have it but wish I did. Have heard that it eliminates the brake dust issue, and people who have it love it. I know that you had changed out your pads on your present car for ceramic pads - I am assuming that solution was not good enough?

The ceramic pads have a distinct squeek right at the end of the braking that is annoying. (My wife looks at me every time she hears it with a smirk). The dust has been cut down a good bit, but I figure if I have the choice why bother with doing it after the fact. Thanks for the input.

I got the PCCBs on my GTS Targa. Zero plans to ever track it.
PROS
1. No brake dust
2. No brake work (probably for the life of the car) - it'll last forever on street-only use
3. Cool factor
4. Resale desirability
CONS
1. Expensive
2. Expensive
3. Costly to repair if you DIY wheel removal
4. Expensive

As for the wife's smirk, we've all been through it

I bought my 911 TT and CTTS preowned and they both have them. Great brakes, no dust and yellow looks cool. If I paid for cars new, would I order... tough call. But no doubt the no dust is great. I let the prior owner pay for them for me ![Wink](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Good luck!
