Coolant leaking 16 GTS
Just noticed that my coolant is leaking very slowly. This started happening right after my first oil change. Maybe coincidence maybe not. I guess we'll find out on Monday when I take it in.
Just took a picture from under the car, I am assuming it's the water pump.

Wow. How many miles on the car? Was the work done at the dealership? Let us know the outcome.

3600 miles. And yes, dealer did the work.
Crazy thing is that I have a road trip planned for this coming Friday and I was really excited to take the GTS. Hopefully they can fix it quickly.

Any CELs? How did you find out about the leak?

Wonder if they "topped off" your coolant during your service and it overflowed the excess.
Lets hope it's something simple.
The next time I pull the bumper I need to find how the overflow tube is routed.
Does anyone know if it's routed to ground by the waterpump?

No CEL, there shouldn't be until engine starts over heating. I did check the overflow tank and it was at minimum when engine was cold so no issues there.
I found a small wet spot under the car, at first I thought it was AC condensation. When the wet spot didn't go away, I started looking under the car. Wet spot was pink and smelled like coolant. It's not dripping when the car is cold, only when hot.
I hope it's something simple as I am looking forward to taking my car on a trip next week.

Did you check the simple stuff? Like is cap on tightly? I know sounds stupid, but you never know... Esp if leaking only when engine is hot. From the pic, hard to tell if that is fluid coming down from higher-up or from a seal somewhere. Other place to look is the bleeder valve - perhaps that was left open, or not shutting fully. No reason to believe that the oil change would have called for bleeding the coolant, right?

I did check the cap and that looks ok. It looks like it's leaking from those 2 screws right by the black hose.

I think I read on another site someone having the same leak. There was an "O" ring at that connection point that needed to be replaced.
edit:
Sorry I found the thread on 6speed about coolant leak at "O" ring on oil cooler but the original poster didn't follow up. I hate when folks do that.

Same exact thing happened to me at 900 miles. Looks like the same picture I sent to my dealer rep, too.
Same O-ring was the issue. They cleaned it up, replaced the ring, and we're good to go. No codes, no other issues, etc.

I am glad I found it while still in my garage. Heading on a 500 mile road trip this week. Would've sucked to find out half way there.
