Long time lurker, looks like I finally made the jump to a 2014 CPO 991 C2S white on black with all the bells and whistles (PASM, sport chrono, PSE, premium plus) and 8k. Will know for sure in a few hours and will post some pics...

I love everything about the car except for the clear tails on the back. I looked at suncoast last night and while the clear kit is going for ~$550, a single red tail goes for $700. What gives? Can I trust the red ones going on eBay for ~$250?

You could buy a red tint kit...

As long as the ebay ones are from a reputable seller and listed as used OEM I don't see a problem.

If you've got a little time, why not go in the Marketplace (or whatever it's called on here) and try to find somebody to swap with you? Should be something the red-to-clear crowd would be happy to find.

I'm right there with you on the clear/white tail lights. Not for me either.

I saw where a Rennlist'er or 6speed'er tinted their clear tails and made them look killer.

BTW The e-bay lights look pretty good.

+1. Swapped the reds off recently sold 50th for a set of clears from a 991.1 GT3. Each paid cost of shipping/ins to each other. You'll need to live without your ride for a few days T

Agree on the clears, not good, but to each his own. Should be able to swap someone easily as suggested. I don't get the price difference either!

***** that....the center brake light is more than enough . Once I take delivery I'll have to be dragged out of my C2S.

I bought clear tails and used for about 3-4k miles and just took them off as well.
It looked cool so I got them but I kinda like classic Red tail lights after 3-4k miles of use.

If you don't get anyone to trade, +1 on tint. I've used tint on many different taillights for my vehicles. Could have it professionally installed.

Since the clear lenses (fit any 991) are a very expensive option on a new order, ask the dealer to make a switch with any other used 991 in their inventory. This adds a $500.00 option to one of their used cars and more importantly, makes you happy. If I were there right now, they’d do it and be damn quick about it. (I’m kinda a b!tch on stuff like that)
