Why not consider the Super dark red RS tail lights. They just moved to Techquipment and have been reduced price wise from $1500 to $900 for the pair. Don't forget to ask for your 10% PCA discount.

Thanks - the dealer ended up selling this car from under me. Hope this is useful to someone else who wants to swap out their clears!
In all fairness, I think the clears look great with a handful of colors like black. I've just personally never liked it outside of the old Altezza IS300s....I shudder when I think about the 'euro tail' craze of my childhood....so many innocent honda civics ruined.

Like you said, some car colors can benefit from a clear lens. The normal red lens can clash with an orange car. If the red of the lens is several shades different than a red colored car it can look off. On the other hand, a pure white car (boring) needs the flash of color wrapping around the rear and side nicely matching the red brake calipers.
My last sports car was a black 350Z roadster with black top. I liked how the bright bits of red saved it from looking like some old guy’s limo/SUV etc.

I don't think I'd put white reflectors with the red light, tho. I think stock ones look good the way they are, but if you want to change them, silver reflectors that match the paint would probably look better than white.
