One of the posts below got me curious. Has anyone ever been to or actually seen what happens at 'the port'. It sounds like some big warehouse where newly imported cars go from the ship they rode in on. Are there Porsche master mechanics who work there? I know many GT3s had their engines replaced at the port. Other cars seem to have body, paint and wheel refinishing there. These must be pretty impressive places that not many people are privy to.

I found this link with a Google search. It covers BMW brand vehicles. I would assume it would be similar with Porsche.

On a serious note, the port is supposedly the best possible place to have repair work done outside of the factory.
