991.1 GTS or 991.2 4S

991.2 is the car to get hands down, grab one in manual can't lose minus, anyone thinking there NA or .2 is going to be a classic I think is out to lunch, there plastic mass produced cars, that't it. Perhaps a run of a 100 or 200 of a certain one sure, but again your not investing your money, its a emotional purchase consisting of you losing 60% of the money 5 years in. 991.2 is a much better machine all the way around. You want a proper NA sounding motor with massive torque get a LS3 into a 2.5 inch Magnaflow as I have in my restomod GTO it will bring new meaning to sound and pure madness.
I'm still a stalker and 84.2% now going to pull trigger for .2 its pure engineering brilliance. Right up there with blueberry waffles and coconut ice cream

Look, just cuz you like a certain motor with a loud pipe, doesn't mean we all will agree. This isn't high school! lol And your comment about plastic mass produced cars. Tell me an auto that is mass produced without plastic, thats affordable and capable like these cars are. Better start researching now to find some! Geesh! Rant off!

I'm sure this has been discussed before but I'm kind of at a crossroads at to which car to go for.
991.1 Carrera 2 GTS would be pretty basic spec, 7-speed manual, white with glass sunroof, sport seat plus, PASM, some trim options etc. This is pending if my dealer can actually find a car with this spec as I can no longer order a new one.
or place an order for the new carerra 4S white with 7 speed manual, the sports package with the rear wheel steer, sport chrono, sports exhaust, glass sunroof, some trim options.
I've read some reviews that say the new car is a step ahead of the old one, but I've also seen some people (chris harris) say that the new car has lost some of the porsche magic. I dont think I can go wrong with either route but which would you prefer?
Both cars are hitting right around the 125-130k range. Planning on leasing the car so it may come down to the rate. Will be a weekend/friday car so not a daily driver
Would appreciate any input, thanks!

The GTS is basically the "McDonald's Value Meal" of 911s. Nothing wrong with that, but unless the particular combination of options/specs has intrinsic value to you above and beyond each of them individually, it really means nothing.
So all of that said, if you're just looking at the two cars beyond any sort of the intangibles and you're not a NA *****, then there's no reason not to get a 991.2.

I think if you are asking this question, then the GTS simply does not appeal to you the way it does for some.

Than the other guy or gal may like the aspects the new car has to offer. Its nice to be able to say this one make me most happy and get it. I am glad everyone can get what they want and be happy. Not my car is better than your car stuff. They are all cool!
