This is so tempting. Anyone know how many amps the 110 plug needs to be?

I have mine plugged into 15 amps and also have a medium sized fridge on the circuit. Off hand, I don't remember exactly but it was pretty modest requirement. ( maybe 7 or 8 amps)

(Edit: I checked the unit. The motor lists 6.4A)

Something I noticed. On the QuickJack box is a 911, and the car is being lifted forward. Every time I've seen a 911 being lifted on a QuickJack it is being lifted back. Which is right?

Costco messed up my QJ order so I haven't been able to lift my car yet.

It all depends on which way you position it!

LOL, Mr. Smartypants!

Which way is correct?

I've read folks say when jacking a rear engine car it should go back. That's opposite of what the box shows.

so I use mine with the hose fittings end positioned toward the front of the car- then the car shifts backwards (which I need due to space constraints in my garage) I don’t think there’s really a right or wrong way

Thanks!

That is how I intend to use it.

One of the female quick disconnects on the jack I received was defective - it didn't seal properly when attached to the male fitting, and also leaked when disconnected (the rings on the face of the connector leaked). The jack still functioned, but made a bit of a mess. I reached out to QuickJack, sent them a picture (and a video of the leak) and they sent a replacement out by UPS. New one worked. Great product, very safe to use and handy to have.

I use mine both directions. No difference or concerns.

As with CaymanSinAR , I'd also read that the piston rod was to be 'pointed' at the weight. But if you've had experience with both and no issues, then that's good support. So to speak.

I've waffled between this QuickJack and the EZ Car Lift (no hydraulic lines, runs off a drill) for a week. QJ less costly, faster, goes lower. EZ is much lighter, more portable, no oily mess. Oh the torment!

Okay, well, the debate above is officially over.

Turns out the owner, inventor, salesperson, phone answerer, customer disservice expert Boytcho of EZ Car Lift makes it easy to choose the competition. Seconds after speaking with him today, I paid for my soon-to-be-delivered Quick Jack 5000 and am super excited.

Hope to post an update equalling this forum's enthusiasm over FINALLY getting a lift for my garage!

PSA - Don’t know if anyone saw this, but Costco has the 5000 lb model in their on-line catalog through January 21st for $1100.00 delivered.

I have been looking at these for way too long... Missed the last couple of Costco sales here in Canada. But after the last two days of jacking up my GTS to do a full detail.. well I'm ordering one..

I bought one recently, motivated by the Costco sale (which is the lowest price I've seen on it). Used it to swap the winter wheels a few weeks ago. It's great!
