OP: I believe those pics that you posted are of the 992 development. Note the charging port for EV on the right rear quarter panel.

For everyone else, here is the 911R which will be announced tomorrow:

GT3RS NA engine at 500hp. Manual with wide body. And bad ***!

Say hello to the manual, 500-hp Porsche 911 R: http://www.worldcarfans.com/11602291...-porsche-911-r

I like it. Too bad it's not a reality for all of us.

Calling this car a 911R is like calling the new Boxster a 718 or the previous special edition an RS Spyder. Porsche is pulling historically significant names from it's a$$ and building cars that have little (or nothing) in common with their predecessors. Am I grateful for the increase in sports-purpose Porsche factory cars? Yes. Am I more than a little embarrassed by the nomenclature that seeks to cash in on the past? Definitely.

Hey Tim, solved this problem by buying a 2nd property, 2 car garage with lift installation this month - so 3 extra Porsche parking spots (William will be happy to hear). House came with it for free, just needed the parking spots - don't have a clue what to do with the house that came with the garage

convert the house to a high end senior home, let me park one of my Porsche there and I can even cover the night calls there for you

It seems sad that they have made so few when they would sell so many.

We sometimes discuss on here the aero balance between the front and rear of the car. Like not having the sport design duck combined with the aero kit cup front. From the pictures above, looks like Porsche is offering this high powered rig with the gt3 front and no gt3 rear wing. It's no wonder their marketing says this car is not about lap times.
