Autogeek - a lot of instructive videos, a very wide selection of products, and from time to time really killer sales (even markdowns on sale items). Ammo has some great videos.

I'm a fan of Detailer's Domain and I have a couple of boxes from them waiting for Spring. Yes, watch for a sale.

Pretty psyched to try the foam cannon and a few new brush types. How geeky is that?

But it's not just about the car. I swear it's the only peace I get. Nobody bothers me when I'm washing cars.

To the OP: lots of Youtube videos, like this:

You'll figure out your system. Just think about where the dirt goes.

Whatever products you choose, make yourself up a mini kit for you car. At the very least Quick Detailer and Microfibers for bird bombs. A small kit is amazingly helpful. I have versions of them in all my cars.

This kit is housed in a shaving kit bag. I have a few of these. And smaller kits can be carried in the Porsche oil bags sold by Suncoast for that OEM monogrammed look. They are Velcro backed, too, so they can be placed anywhere. 👍

Those are great!

I use medical swabs for most things. They are like Q-Tips on steroids. Very heavy duty and attached to 6" sticks. And they are super cheap in the local pharmacy. I buy them in a box of 250 for under $10. A concours detailers friend.

Does anyone have tips on how to clean the edge of the "clear" stone guards? I say "clear" because they are starting to yellow. On a white car the dirt that collects on the edge of the film is very noticeable.

Thanks for the tip. I just checked Amazon and they don't have it - any pointers on where to buy it?

The OEM 3M stone guards yellow overnight. Terrible. Have them replaced with XPEL or Suntek. XPEL has a nice pattern for them. Just slightly larger size than OEM too. No yellowing with either too. A win win.

Thanks! I plan to look into the XPEL option; may get my front bumper done as well since it seems to be collecting some chips.
