Thanks! It's my buddies E92 335i. It has e46 M3 rims on it, nice spot!

Looks good! Take your time over speed bumps, I managed to scratch mine on one. The rear clearance is probably 2 inches less now.

Beautiful...

I thought, though, that the Vorsteiner was carbon overlay? Either way, it really completes the rear...

Very interesting and looks fantastic ,,,Does it make any noticeable difference to the cars aero package or is it purely a cosmetic Diffuser ...........

Very nice gbree. Very, very, nice.

It is good to know that it can be a diy. Did you even lift the car or let it sit flat?

As for popping the stock valence out - any tricks to that - just use a trim tool and pry off?

Also, thanks for the info in the knock off stuff. Everyone should know you get what you pay for.

Yeah, I'm a bit concerned with the ground clearance. Haven't scraped yet though. I will just have to be very careful.

No, this piece is 100% carbon fiber. You may be able to tell from some of the uninstalled pictures. Thanks!!

Technically it should improve the top speed by reducing drag, but I do not believe it has been tested in a wind tunnel. It should also improve high speed cornering on track due to increased downforce, but I have not taken it out yet.

I just let it sit flat. There aren't any real tricks, just use a trim tool and an insane amount of force.

now that it looks like the 991R has a rear diffuser ... might be 'plug n play' OEM component!

How would a diffuser under the car increase downforce?

reduces lift - cleans up the airflow as it transits under the car (engine) and exits improving the low pressure zone?

not quite - but the same idea/concept as "ground effects"

^^^ Makes sense. Any underbody drag also causes lift. The only open area under the 991 is the rear oil pan/muffler area. This diffuser smooths all that out.

Thanks.

Correct! The air can travel faster under the car, so it creates a lower pressure zone under the car (excuse my non-technical lingo). The fins also contain the air flow, keeping it away from the spinning wheels.

yes and yes ...

you have to wonder how much Suncoast will charge for this part if it will fit
under a GT3 (or even a WB 991)

Looks like the Porsche one would just be mounted under the car possibly. I like how the Vorsteiner piece ties into the bumper.
