Very nice! That all works very well with all of the black trim on the car. Looks like they fill out the wheel wells nicely too.

IF I hunted down the correct numbers, for the front wheel willtheyfit.com reports: "Compared to your existing wheel, this new wheel will have an inner rim which is 12.4mm closer to the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out 0.4mm more than before.".

On the rear wheels: "Compared to your existing wheel, this new wheel will have an inner rim which is 5.3mm closer to the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out 7.3mm more than before.".

I wouldn't recommend it myself since I don't think center locks are friendly to the big spacers you'd need (without spacers the wheels will likely strike the calipers or suspension).... but please verify all these numbers for yourself.
Thanks for that.

I think your numbers were the reason 991 GT3 wheels can't be fitted on the 991 TTS. I'm wondering though, since the GTS comes with smaller steel brakes and smaller calipers, if that would allow the different offsets to fit.

I was hoping someone might have tried it and knows for sure.

On second thought the calipers probably wouldn't be a concern since the outside of both wheels juts out further. The 12.5 mm inset on the front is the most worrisome thing to me. But like you say, maybe someone who has tried it for real will know. Good luck! I certainly like those wheels too.

Thanks for the compliments. Car is at stock ride height. The aftermarket front airdam makes it look lower than it actually is.

Happy to help if I can!

Hi Plenum, considering this mod... did you do a write-up on this install as well??

I must've missed this post. I didn't install it yet. I had a Porsche tech(at his private shop) try but he couldn't install it. On Wednesday I'm going to get a back up cam and the front/back dash cams to get installed and he may take a stab. I'd love to try myself.

Anyone know where to get mods4cars installed in the Carolinas or is their resellers and install partners list the only option?

I can't answer your specific question, but install looks simple enough that I plan to do it on my own. Plan B will be my local installer where I bought my wheels and plan to have Escort radar installed. Even if they aren't an authorized dealer for this, it should be 101 for their tech.

It works well except one wonky thing. You need to hit the unlock button three times to close or open it. No problem when you open it. But when you close it you can't lock it until the top is closed. If you attempt to lock it while it is closing the alarm goes off due to the motion sensor. Not the end of the world but that part is imperfect. My 997 smarttop was perfect.

As I write this I am now wondering if it will autolock itself. If I lock it first before closing the top I think it will. Anyone know?
