I joined the club... BUT got a great deal on an open box return from Suncoast, so feeling pretty good about the unnecessary upgrade

What a bargain, these things get dirty under the fuel flap over time anyway.

It's the guilty pleasure of the P-car world. We should all learn to embrace it,

If that's a great deal I wonder what that MSRP is. The P T Barnum deal?

Porsche some how manages to sell them full price at the dealer for $202... so $89 didnt bother me at all. (maybe that makes me a sucker, but as someone said earlier, if you like it who cares)

I have never seen a bank car in a funeral procession.

Porsche can sell anything to their owners, the owners will gladly suck it up.

How many of us are guilty of searching for Porsche merchandise?

Yes, I thought the same thing: but it's a $200 option when building new, and my RS came with one, and I like the way it looked on the RS (and it really hasn't gotten dirty in 5 years, despite regular use), so I added one to my 911 also on this "bargain" pricing from Suncoast. . . but even the regular Porsche fuel cap costs $40-60 online ,so perhaps $90 is not so expensive when you consider that it's a "Porsche" fuel cap. . . it might even make the car drive better!

What is that? An ultraviolet blue gas cap plug to help destroy any corona virus in the fuel tank?

lol... maybe, but I think its supposed to glow in the dark during total blackout situation when filling gas and you have to know where the tank opening is.
