Drove the 991.2 today!

Had the opportunity to drive the 991.2 S today.
A nice ride, very torquey. Handles like a 991.1.
The new PCM is very nice but because it was a european car it was not fully functional. The ability to swipe horizontally across the screen is quite nice.
Very nice!

What were the circumstances of the test drive? Dealer stock? Dealer invitation? Press test drive? Other?

It had PSE, sounded great!
NO turbo lag noticed.
It was a dealer intro to the car, they are going to do that at all dealers

Do you mean it was a presentation by Porsche NA at the local dealer? If so, is it a national program?

Local dealer sent email to me. .2 is available today 2.4.16 from 10-3 for rides and viewing.

Glad to hear the sound was acceptable. Curious how the steering felt as I've heard it is improved from the 991's steering feel.

I just spoke with my SA in Scottsdale, AZ. He said they have nothing and don't expect to see one until March. He said without pictures the post is worthless.

I would love to be able to forward him some pictures.

Not me. As a 991.1 owner I am eagerly awaiting my transition from "Owner of the latest 911 which is ruining everything that was ever good about the entire company" to "Owner of the last Real 911 before this latest one took a flying crap on the entire history of German sportscar manufacture."
