Thanks STG991, you are absolutely right about the BEL and ALP controllers. Using both you will loose the power outlet but it will still fit under the ash tray door.
Paul007 here's a picture of that combo in a GT4 we just did:

STG and Nick: Perfect, thanks for the quick responses and pics.
I'm very interested in doing this, can you recommend an installer in LA or San Diego?
Do you have any exterior photos of similar systems installed on a 991 GT3?
The YouTube video just showed the interior of the car.
We just did Guards Red 991 GT3 not too long ago. I neglected to take good photos, but here's a crummy cell phone picture. The front jammers look great in the far outside of the center opening in the bumper. If you look hard you can barely see them.
As far as an installer in So Cal, it can be pretty hard great fabricators and integrators, but I might know someone that could do a great job installing one of our 991 Radar/Laser Kits. Shoot me a PM with your email and I'll get you more info.
Nick sent me pics of my ALP which is on the way. Nice custom smokers package controller!
nick, are you certain you wouldn't consider fabricating the insert for a v1 concealed display if i sent you the concealed display and a new smoker's package insert?
Beside the hardware, this appears to be a labor-intensive construct. Nick, can you give us an estimate of the total cost of hardware and installation? Thanks in advance.
While the smoker's package is nice to conceal the module, it's not really practical because you have to keep the lid open when you drive. I had the ALP installed on my car. You have to JTK within a second of getting tagged by laser & allow the system to stop jamming within 3-4 seconds. That will give you enough time to slow down & let Leo get another reading so that Leo will not suspect something us up. If you have to flip the lid & the hit the button to JTK, you might be too late. I have mine hidden in the empty rubber tray. Easy access & it's still hidden.
The ALP has settings where it will turn off after a hit correct? Programmable delays. Once you get close enough to a LEO, they'll get a reading regardless. I have it always on. But then again, don't live in a state where they're illegal.

You are correct. I forgot that I set mine up for auto shut off after 4-seconds. I know there are instances that it's better to manually turn them off but I cannot recall. If someone with better knowledge than me can chime in, that would be great.

It's all adjustable in the configurations, you can set the jam timing anywhere from 3-9 seconds after being hit, there is also a unlimited setting for testing purposes. I personally run in the unlimited setting because I always manually kill when I slowed down enough, also unlimited mode resets the system immediately after the LEO stops shooting at you where as if you are on one of the jam timing settings, the system will go into 60sec of warm-up before switching back to jamming mode
To be clear. Not my car in the post! (If you assumed that). They're shipping the system and custom smokers pkg to me and I'm getting it installed locally.
I'm sure Nick can post a few pics as they get everything ready.
Who are you planning on using for the installation around us?
