Default Build Log - Musicar Radar/Laser System

I've been getting a good amount of requests for our radar/laser kits lately, so I decided it might be a good idea to show everyone the process. We just picked up this beautiful new Lava Orange GTS from a local client that wanted some radar and laser defense.

He opted for the BEL STiR+ with Escort's Laser Interceptor-Made Jammers front and rear. I know what you're thinking — why not AL Priority? Well, on this side of the country we don't see any of the new "random pulse rate" laser technology, and this particular client wanted the most integrated solution possible.

Over the next couple of days I'll be taking photos of the process and updating this post as we progress through the integration. This particular project is local, but we do have solutions for anyone out of state looking for this type of system.

Awesome car, looking forward to seeing install. I have a ALP setup sitting on my shelf that I just ordered, trying to get some time and ideas together to do the install. Thanks for the pics.

+1! Very nice to see detailed work going into something most people just slap together with velcro and double-sided tape!

What amount of time do you put into the installation?

Looking forward to seeing more!

When you have the machinery to fabricate custom pieces - that is so awesome. That is what you are paying for. Great stuff!

It looks like you are mounting the front jammers within the grills/gills, don't those grills flap open and shut on the .2?

Morning of day two is over, The exterior's going back together and the interior integration is starting to take shape.

Completed front jammer brackets. These are aluminum and acrylic for long term durability.

The new brackets and jammers are fit to the core bumper with a set of aluminum risers

The jammers seem to disappear with everything reinstalled

Complete and installed rear plate mount

Nice work Nick. I have a 991 GTS and plan to go for the AL Priority/STiR Plus. Any pictures of the interior controls would be nice to see when you get a moment (or point me to a site).
Thanks

Paul007, thanks for the kind words. This is a build log done in real time, so the interior controls are coming up next. When you're ready for your system, shoot me a PM. We have kits for BEL+ALP for the 991.

Here's the initial fabrication of the control and display housings:
