Mine has yet to arrive ... I think it will be one of the last 50 to be built.

what we do know is that you can no longer place an order for a 2016 991.1 GTS. It is not clear if they are still filling the last batch of orders or if production is entirely done.

What date was your car 'born'?

It says 11.20.15 from the sheet ... I had my dealer find one in mid December from another dealer order to as close to my ideal build as possible since they stopped allowing orders sometime in late November. My main requirements, which really made it slim pickings (only one incoming was available like the one below) was:

No sunroof
7 speed manual
Alcantara interior
Sport design steering wheel
Silver or white (Mine is Rhodium Silver)
Aerokit or duck tail (mine is the aerokit)
Bose

I would have liked the backup camera but I'm having the nav tv b/u camera installed.

The only other option that mine has that I would have rather not was the 18 ways with memory.

I'm only guessing that mine is one of the last 50 built but it can't be far off from that.

By the way, I've had sunroofs on many cars, which are great for daily drivers while under warranty but not afterwards. I think buyers 10 years down the road would rather not have the wiring, weight, complexity that sunroofs and cabs add to the equation ... non sunroof RSA'S are the most desirable now. Also the sporting nature of these cars almost demands the lack of weight up top. (996 gt3's and 991 gt3's could not spec em)

Cheers ...

'Last 50'... or last 500 It seems like they have built and delivered a lot over the last few months. I've wondered if they were building any more regular Carrera or S models. It will be interesting to see what the total production numbers are.

I think they would have stopped .1 Carrera and S production and replaced it with .2 production already, I dont think they would mix the two once the .2
was available for order.

Sounds logical. So what day was the first .2 born?

Then production of the .2 definitely overlapped with the .1
