I posted this on the Turbo site and got the predicted response. What do you guys think?
I am deciding between buying a used low mileage 2015 TTS when they get down to $150K in the next few months or ordering a new 2016 or 2017 C2S or C4S to get the manual. It won't be my DD. I currently have a 2013 M6 which has plenty of power, but is too big to have fun. Previously I owned a 2006 C4S Cab and a 1995 C4S Coupe

Not sure the .2 C4s will be out this year but I may be wrong.

Also I would point out this is basically an apple to orange comparison and unfair to the C4S which is an amazing car. TTS is in a different league and packs in all of Porsche's Motorsport know-how.

The only reason I didn't get another Turbo last year (would have been a 991TT, not TTS) was because I fell in love again with normally aspirated flat sixes. Since that is off the table and you're considering two different turbo motors...
Are you effing kidding us? A sub-10,000-mile $200,000+ Turbo or a new C4S? Even I, who love my GTS dearly (even more than I did my last Turbo) would buy a Turbo over a 991S if I was ordering right now.
Only thing that concerns me -- if you're looking for substantially lighter than your M6, Turbo is coming in about 3500#, iirc. Not sure you're going to feel that much difference there. But then the last BMW I drove was a raggedy '76 530i I had in college. I'm not really up on their feel lately.

This thread from the Porsche Club GB 992 forum is worth read for prospective 992 owners:
https://www.porscheclubgb.com/forum/tm.aspx?m=1038646
Whilst my car wasn't as bad as the one in question, I did experience:
- alarm continually going off, complete with tracker company phone calls (at least the tracker worked)
- ACC errors
- Night Vision errors
- various rattles and squeaks
- a paint job that had been repaired at the factory before delivery but not very well - my detailer found poor finish and overspray at the rear of the car and I accepted £1,000 in compensation
