Default My 991 Audio Upgrade Project

I always knew that our audio system in the 991 is not the best. Coming from the 981 boxster with the Bose system. I was surprise to see that the 911 system is somehow a little bit better in the mid. Just not have enough power for the base and high are not as clear as I wanted to be. So I was determined to get the system replaced.

Here is the system I went with

Front Focal 165krx 3 way
Rear Focal 130 KR 2 way
Amp Audison 5.1
DSP mosconi 6 to 8
sub 2 JL 8"
sub controller on the center dash

Along with a couple of thing I wanted to take care of.
1. Hardware my V1
2. Installed AL Laser Priority system
3. Installed my blackvue Dash Cam With dedicated battery( prevent draining car battery)

The system I am really happy with. I am tuning down the bass a little bit. The amp has too much power for my liking.
Overall I am super happy with this setup.

Houston Car Stereo did the the fabrication and installation. Their shop and tech I think are the best around my area for sure.

Awesome. I was thinking about doing something very similar! How does it sound?

Very nice install, matches your interior perfectly.

When I want to improve my bass and midrange though I just turn the audio system off and press the PSE button.

I like the rear shelf idea.

One upgrade you might want to do in the future is sink the speakers a little lower in the back and make a nice fabric panel to cover them. Make it look a little more stealth.

Very nice!

My audio upgrade will consist of the AWE switchpath.

I love Focal's - great choice. I've been thinking of a stereo upgrade, but I'm leaning towards a PSE install instead.

Did you do black vue front and rear? Curious to see how that turned out?
