991 Gt3 wing

The increase in fluid velocity (air) decreases its pressure & the decease in fluid velocity increases its pressure - Bernouli's Law. Air isn't rammed into cylinders. Once the high speed air is slowed down, the pressure increases. This is what F1 cars and a few other race cars do. One needs low speed air over the cylinders - minimizing turbulence and increasing pressure, albeit never above atmospheric pressure. This term is loosely called "Volumetric Efficiency."

We've established it's not rammed into cylinders. Ram air, still, isn't about turbulence or the lack thereof. It's about positive manifold pressure. Manifold...not combustion chamber.

If you admire the style of a GT3, you should appreciate that the wing is out of place both in style and in function on a regular 911 as everyone has been explaining. Plus, you would look like a huge poseur to stick a GT3 wing on a regular 911.
Just buy a 991 GT3. There are several on the market with very low miles, and a GT3 will hold its value better than a regular 911, which should mitigate the cost of making the switch.
Also, a GT3 is a completely new level of performance and driving pleasure. I'll never be without a GT3/RS again.

Funny looking at the comments posted here. Most of them have no idea what they are talking about. As far as the gt3 owners having issues with you for putting the gt3 wing on your car because it is not a gt3 pay no attention to them. I have 991 gt3 and I'm sure they would really give it to me if they knew what I did to her. Lol The thing I love about the car world is everyone has their own taste and that reflects in modifications we do to our cars. Some of us don't want our cars to look or perform the same as everyone else's car. To each his own.

A friend of mine has a 991 GTS with the factory aero kit and most people think his car and mine (GT3) are the same. Another has a 997 CS with aero kit front and GT3 rear wing. It looks great. My point? Most people won't know the difference and most won't care. If you like the wing better and can get it at a reasonable price go for it. The one thing to consider, as stated before, the front/rear aero packages are designed to balance the car at speed. Just adding the rear wing will plant the back but lighten the front end which could cause handling problems if you track the car. Do both ends and keep the car safe.

Main difference is you pay more to get less.
