Default Lava orange

Saw this in the dealership while taking my car in for service. Lots of Internet pics has it looking almost neon bright to me, but in person it's quite nice. Almost salmon in color. I know it's in the wrong forum, but since lava orange is now available for 991.2 maybe someone here would be interested.

I can't help but think of the hand cleaner when I see the pics of the color or see the name...

Love that color but too much for all occasions. If only I could have multiple 911's....Saw it on a GT3 RS at the dealership as well and it does look better in person.

Certainly not a subtle color!

Love it in person, especially on the GTS--black and orange are like peanut butter and chocolate.

It's amazing to me that probably half of the colors offered on the 911 just can't be captured in photographs properly. The silvers, the different reds (which each have their own personality in person), specials like Lava Orange and Ultra Violet of course. Saphire Blue, the special blue on that new Club Sport, etc etc.

Not a huge fan of the LO; to each his own.

We've completed quite a few sets of rear bumper reflectors and other trim in this color...pretty cool in person but does not photograph well.

in some lighting it does look disturbingly too "salmon" for me - but then in other lighting "it ROCKS"

I like it, but I'd go for the pastel orange over the lava - especially on a Targa or Cab - has much more of that 70s vibe.

I love the orange that was on the previous gen GT3 (I think?) but the only current option without playing PTS timing lotto is Lava. I saw it next to a red and a yellow in the showroom and the Lava looked the best by a wide margin to my tastes.

And looking good on a 911 is exactly what Lava Orange does. I saw Mr Greens car at a local detail shop yesterday and it is Bee-U-Tee-Ful. The first time I saw Lava was last year in late summer at a Porsche event at Whistler MT in BC. In the rain. It is a color that changes considerably based on lighting - but IMHO never in a bad way.

Thanks! I love the color under most conditions. Sometimes it goes a touch salmon as has been described, but to me it's not bad. Absolutely worth it for how stunning it is the rest of the time. (also I haven't done a pic thread because I haven't even had the car...it's been at the shop since delivery getting wrap and tint)
