Opinion on wheels color
Part of my winter project list is a potential wheel color change and a Sport deign front end. Will continue with the Carrera 20 wheel but looking to have them painted either a dark gray or black, (I have seen both OEM color choices) Exterior color is Amaranth Red metallic. Any thoughts or opinions?

Grey would look good on your car. IMO, black wheels have been so "over done" and, because of that, I really don't like black wheels. While not the same exterior color as your car, I put gunmetal wheels on my Metallic Grey 997.2 C2S.
Once you make the change, be sure to post pics.

Try plasti dip you can get it in both gray and black and if you don't like it is fully reversible.

However, if you do want to change the color, I would suggest a gunmetal grey metallic. A really neat color is the one used on the 40th anniversary 370Z - Nissan color code KAV.
It has a slight purple tint to it that sets it off from other gunmetal metallic. I used the color on a 370Z I used to own. It's not black, but it's darker than silver.
Best of luck! You have a beautiful car.

Agree with others who say it looks best as is. Gunmetal might look okay, but I think black would look awful on an Amaranth car.

I'm currently rocking the same wheels and color as you but planning on dipping mine after new tires are installed. Love the gun metal look like the car below.
This is carrera911me's car...... love them.

for your rare beautiful Amaranth color, it has gotta be something equally less common ....bronze, not the ubiquitous grey / black options...but not any " bronze" as they vary from yellow / brassy to almost black and from matte , to textured , to very shiny finish
I personally , would chose this one : " polished liquid bronze " .. it's the one at 12 o clock in the second image which shows the usual bronze color range , the darker matte one on the right is most common, but reminds me of antique bronze plumbing / lighting fixtures , the bottom one is too coppery red and would clash with your car and the one on the left is too brassy/ gold and would give off a " Ronald McDonald " vibe in bright sunlight against your color ...that last one works best for a black ,dark grey or blue Porsche .

I'm a fan of the stock silver. But if I had to change a gunmetal would work for me. I would choose black only as a last resort. If I had to have polished spokes with black inserts I'd sell the car
