991 Service manual
Hello fellas;
Does such a thing exist? Not that I'm planning on hardcore modding my 991 but just to learn more and basic maintenance. Looking for something like Haynes Automotive Repair Manual.
cheers

We need Streather to write something like this.
His book on the 993 is brilliant and is parked alongside my 993TT.

I know this sounds crazy, but I'll pay a lot of money for a 991 service manual. Love having those things around! So useful.

What you are looking for exists electronically-only I believe: PIWIS TSI. Stands for Porsche Integrated Workshop Information System. TSI is an acronym of Technical Service Information and includes Workshop Manuals, among other things, for Porsche vehicles (nearly ALL model years and configurations that documentation exist for). But, you have to pay. Either an annual sub, bulk debit, or per-slice. The dealer service dept has complete access to PIWIS TSI, or that is what I've seen anyways. Need a front strut replaced? The Service Tech cracks-open a WM that provides step-by-step instructions, sub-procedures, and illustrations....
I use this system all the time, and have saved-off a large number of the more common WM's (Work Manuals) for my '14 C4S. Nice system, you can perform global searches, search by vehicle data, or even down to specific VIN. However, this is NOT a parts database, so don't go there looking for part details -- yes, you can identify many things in the diagrams and WM instructions, but they typically don't mention a specific part #.
Hope that helps....
