"On Winning" article in Panorama
In the most recent article of Panorama there is an excellent article written by John D'Angelo (aka JD aka John aka Mathfuzzy) on the winning the PCA lottery and picking up his 60th club coupe. It is a fantastic read and a highly recommend.
JD, nicely done, Sir!

It was fun to write and helped me process the whole experience. 2016 has a mighty tall order if it's going to come close to matching 2015.
Speaking of which, happy New Year guys.

Yes, you can access Panorama via pea.org, but you must log in to actually "read" the issues.
J.D. did a great job writing the article; it's a cool first-person account of an extra special Euro Delivery. PCA did it right for these guys!

You can get the electronic copy from the app store, if you are an IOS user.
@mathfuzzy: Excellent article! I'm happy for you, and jealous at the same time. Maybe I'll be around see what they do for the 75th anniversary.

Thanks STG.
X2 - I'd feel exactly same. For what it's worth, I've studied all things Porsche since I was about 12, have read Excellence was Expected from cover to cover...twice, and just kind of fell in to the car and the trip. It was so cool to know so much of the history of the company and family and cars and then to be there and see it all. I think I'd have scored pretty high on a test of enthusiasts who would appreciate the experience.
I was sitting next to one of the Club Liaisons at dinner one night and there was a picture of Huschke Von Hanstein and I said something like, "hey, great picture of von Hanstein." And the guy looked at me kind of surprised and said something like, "how did you know who that is?" I forget stuff like that is not common knowledge, and that I've had the benefit of several decades of study under my belt. And that some people are new to the marque. And that for many buyers, it's just a car.

I think going forward that will be the case even more so. Something really hit home at an early age with the current enthusiasts with the magazines and posters on the walls. Things are different now and I think Porsche knows it looking forward to future sales. The Club Coupe and 991.1 represents something special and the last of an era.
I'm glad you scored your special car.
