Default 991 Folding Mirror Retrofit?

I'm wondering if anyone has tried or experienced a retrofit for the 991 to have automatic folding mirror?

my 991 came with standard mirrors, i'm curious if its worth the effort to have folding mirrors installed. I could use the extra space in my garage.

Tried asking the dealer but they said it would cost in the thousands and wouldn't recommend it.

has anyone tried?

Don't know but would be quite interested myself to hear from the pros.

You can manually fold some of the Porsche mirrors. FYI. Sport Design are not one of them.

Hmmm. I have sport design mirror on my 2016 and they manually fold. Wonder if this a very recent change.

Yes, the sport design mirror can manually fold but no power folding option. Power folding option is only available with the regular mirror.

I will get some photos up later as I am not near my car. There is nothing special just grab and fold in towards the window.

Yeah. He has the painted lowers on them like the RS.

Some sort of piece for the buffeting issue too.

The key question to answer this is in regard to the wiring harness; and
probably determinable from a close inspection of PET.

If the door's wiring harness is "prepared" for the mirrors, then its a simple
matter of painting the new mirrors and installing them and the mirror
module to fold them...

if not ... interior trim would have to come off and the harness changed.
