gbree, looks good! How much did you have to "work it"? Looks like you worked the tape edges into the wheel indentation as the edges look rounded.

I just made sure to wrap it very tight and then I pushed the tape into the crevices with my finger nail. Very easy

Those with alcantara that want to use the tape, why not layer it with something underneath to prevent residue. Assuming you can make it tight enough and seal it behind the wheel where it isn't visible.

Just curious, why is it important to know the position of your steering wheel?

Please take the tape off the leather of your 150k car.

I don't know about this. I like the idea of the contrast but steering wheels bake in the sun, the adhesive is going to penetrate the leather quickly especially with heat or it will remove the finished surface of the leather when removed if it is a strong adhesive. Lastly the steering wheels picks up oils from your hands and so will the tape over time and start looking nasty. Not the prettiest pic for a $100K plus car. I do applaud your effort though.

I'm going to put tape at the 6:00 position. Is this OK?

I'm more of a morning person, anyways. Plus, I can't barley see up high to the 12:00 position.

If for track use, I'll trust the utility; otherwise, NEIN!

Lol at all of these responses. I decided to take mine off, not because I'm worried about putting tape on a Porsche, but because I didn't like the feel of it whenever it happened to touch my hands.

The adhesive is not strong, as mentioned multiple times in this thread. If the tape looks bad, guess how hard it is to replace.

That said, I still won't be using it.

You might be able to see better if you removed the helmet

But he looks like a race car driver.
