Default Acquired: 50th Edition Geyser Grey

Just took delivery of 50th Anniversary Edition #0435 in Geyser Grey Metallic. It was purchased as CPO from Roger Beasley (now called Porsche Central Austin) with 1785 miles on it.

Full specs:
Geyser Grey Metallic
Classic Interior with Seats in Agate Leather/Cloth Combination
PDK
PDCC with Sport PASM
Auto dimming Mirrors
Adaptive Cruise Control
Luggage net in passenger footwell
LED headlights w/ PDLS plus
Bose, Sirius XM
Adaptive Sport Seats Plus
Fuel Cap with Aluminum Look Finish
Headlight Cleaning System in Exterior Color
Electric Sunroof
Park Assist (Front/Rear)
Porsche Entry and Drive

Some initial impressions after 24 hours:

- The cloth seats seem really sturdy. Was afraid they might not wear as well as leather but they seem like they will last a long time with a little care.

- Sport PASM in normal mode feels firmer than I thought it would in normal mode. Having had regular PASM in several cars, I always felt that normal setting was a little too soft. Feels to me like SPASM in normal is about 70% as firm as PASM in Sport mode. I'll get used to it and it feels like a sports car should to me, but wife undoubtedly won't like it.

- Sports exhaust sounds awesome. Nice to have the sunroof so that even in cold weather I can use the 'tilt' function and hear it more clearly.

- Never had adaptive cruise before, but I pretty much use cruise control all the time on the highway and in initial tests it works nicely.

- Very impressed with the PDLS at night. Auto high beams worked great on some back roads and the degree of swivel is impressive.

- Geyser Grey doesn't look very grey in daylight. More like off-white or cream. Not a lot of metallic sparkle. But in the early morning light this morning, it suddenly looked very grey (and really nice).

One thing I need to try and figure out: the original window sticker shows 'multifunction wheel' but it has the sport design wheel. That's a good thing as I much prefer the sport design wheel but would like to see if my service department can tell me who installed it.

Also, there is a radar system installed (Passport 9500ci) that I am debating whether to keep or not. They are illegal in Virginia and would prefer not to get hassled, but on the other hand it could be handy out-of-state.

Already have appointment with local detailer to put Xpel on front, Opticoat Pro+ on entire car, and Optiguard on Interior. Will post more pics when done, but in the meantime, here a couple shots from delivery:

To me, certain colors work with certain wheels, and those just look perfect together. Very classic, in a really sporty way.

Congrats on your purchase holgum.

Just checked the window sticker for my 911.50 in regards to your question about the multi-function steering wheel. On the left side of my sticker under STANDARD EQUIPMENT and the Comfort and Convenience sub-heading, mine calls out the SportDesign steering wheel. It seems odd to me that yours calls out the multifunction wheel. Maybe just a misprint on the sticker? I'm willing to bet it came from the factory with the SportDesign wheel. Let us know what you find out.

Excellent.

I chose the sport design wheel on mine, but it was optional at order though.

My sticker says SportDesign steering wheel on the left under Standard Equipment too, but on the right under Options it has 'Multifunction Steering Wheel' @ $125. Weird that someone would order a multifunction and then immediately change it. Beasley couldn't (or wouldn't) give me any info about it (maybe it was done somewhere else).

Wow, awesome car. You will love this car.
I really like the rims, my all-time favorite Porsche wheel.
Thanks for sharing.
Cheers, keep the radar detector. It will be worth many saves.

Were they pretty firm on the asking price or did they work with you? Curious as I might be working with that dealership in the near future.
