Default 8 Months / 2000 Miles - Finally

I know my low mileage will rankle some here on the forum, but today I finally reached 2,000 miles on my 8 month old C2 (7MT). I've held the RPMs below 4K since new. And now... I'm ready to feel what the higher RPMs feel like.

By the way, those of you who are beyond your top-down driving season, eat your hearts out.

Beautiful car. Drive it a lot or drive it a little, just enjoy it when you do.

Not sure what your situation is that caused such low mileage. BUT, now that you can go over 4k RPMs I expect the mileage to grow exponentially.

You waited 2k miles to go over 4K rpm? If that's what the manual says, I broke my car in wrong...

You're joking about the 2k thing right? I thought it was like 600 or something. Not that I waited that long either...

Actually, the 2K thing is in the manual. It's on page 6 in the section called 'Break in hints...'. Having said that, and having been reading this forum much of this year, I'd bet I'm about the only person in the US who has heeded this 'hint'.

Know how I break it all my new cars and motorcycles? Look left, look right...then nail it.
