Best Cup Holder
Confession: I drink the Starbucks Trente Ice Tea every morning (no sugar, extra ice, no water)....
I am scared of the flimsy cupholders in our 991s... I am convince that this is a German engineering joke on North Americans.
What are people using for cup holders for taller / larger drinks? No drilling.
I bought a cup holder in the 1990s that was adjustable and was removable but anchored with a tang that wedged itself between the lower and upper parts of the seat.
I get tempted to stretch out the cars legs but I am too paranoid with the flimsy cupholder. This is literally a lifestyle issue for me.
Help?

Forget the cup holder, just get a better cup.
Autoseal seems to be the new thing. I have a backpack thermos I use for coffee. It's been a great sipper.

That said - I also enjoy the Trenta iced tea and I do use the flimsy cupholder for it. The only real issue is the drink sweating all over your console switches; wrap the cup in a napkin.
What's worse is getting a black coffee. That is physically impossible to get home in a Porsche without flinging it everywhere.

You must have a humongous bladder. If I drink a trente, I make sure I know where the restrooms are located.

I have one of the Ultimate cup holders, and it worked great in my 997. I tried for about 2 seconds to install it in the 991. The thing that jams up under the side of the console seemed too tight for comfort, so I aborted the mission before i scratched something. So the GTI does the coffee runs.

I couldn't agree more. I don't understand why they don't simply cut a hole in the center console...that would improve the experience of going to Starbucks so much!

I still am pissed at the wife for having pumpkin spiced latte froth spilling into my PDK shifter!!!
My Cayenne has great center console cupholders. I am telling you German engineers are messing with us on the 911s. "Ya, you waltz zee cup holder in my 911 ya? P"
I might try the ultimate cup holder but get the Focus RS as a DD.
