Thanks Larry, with further thought and research I think I'm shying away from installing myself because AWE told me today the bumper needs to come off (or should). $400 for a pro to do it might makes sense this time. Happy to hear opinion of others who have changed out their exhausts..
I don't have jackpoints or race ramps, so that's another issue..
Bumper cover does not need to come off. I have put the AWE on (and off ) in 45 minutes once the car is on the jacks. Here's my install sequence on the TUBI, the AWE doesn't replace the side mufflers so its very fast. Lots of photos, you can do it easily.
FYI I had the AWE on my car before I went with the Tubi,

stratocaster, you'll be pleased to know I placed my order with Mike at AWE for a switchpath this morning. can't wait to hear this thing.. i'll be sure to make a video.
Just saw this, somehow I missed it. Sorry about that. You will love that exhaust. I know you have researched it. Mine should finally be on my mid next week and I will have the car home. Cant wait for the video too.
i will probably do it myself, but i was quoted around $400 to have it done which is tempting. i'll look at the instructions and exhaust when it gets here and see if i can back it onto some ramps and knock it out.. I changed out the secondary cats for straight pipes in my cayenne s, and it was a pain. can't imagine this is much harder. i have read you don't need to remove the bumper which would have been too big a job.
I put a mid pipe on my GTR. If I had lift it would have been easy. It was a pain in the *** too. Dropped a stainless clamp bolt on the floor, only to watch it roll down my floor drain. I just don't want to deal with pulling the bumper cover off etc. I know its not that bad. But I had a bad feeling about this one lol
I fitted an AWE Switch path to my car yesterday along with BMC air filters...
The mechanic fitting said it was a very well made and thought out system. Went on no problems at all.
We replaced the supplied cable ties with metal clips.
A great kit and best of all, is the SOUND...

video please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and congrats! awesome! can you comment on loudness in normal vs sport mode? curious what your take is overall. i have an AWE in the garage and will likely mount in the coming week. also curious how long it took to install?
Nice, another happy AWE enthusiast. I won't worry too much about hitting the PSE button for phone calls. Heck with that. lol Diablo, I have seen some using the BMC filters. I am sure they are bit less restrictive. Are they supposed to open the sound up a tad and maybe a tad more power?
OMG, curious why your rear frame is blue in the pic above? I've seen just about every color 991 with the rear cover and other bits off, and never once saw any color other than primer grey, silver or similar.
